Thank you all for taking out time and being present at this seminar session. I would like to speech on the topic of “Unity in diversity and its importance”.
Unity in Diversity is a concept that implies unity among people who have certain distinctions between them. These variations may be on the basis of culture, language, philosophy, faith, social, political, class, race, etc. In both Western and Eastern Old World cultures, the notion and the associated term is very old and dates back to ancient times. In several areas, it has applications, including ecology, cosmology, philosophy, religion, and politics. In addition, this principle has been present since time immemorial. Almost everywhere on Earth people have continually shown this praiseworthy behavior. The theory has definitely culminated in humanity’s ethical and moral evolution.
We all know that “Unity in Diversity” is an ancient term that was first used in North America and China by some cultures, often around 500 B.C. The most obvious example that gives the term credence is that of a democratic country. There are distinct religions, cultures, ideologies, sects, languages, and other demarcations in a democratic country, but they all live in peace and harmony, following a uniform law. Our nation as a nation is the best example of “Unity in Diversity” with citizens of various faiths and cultures living together in accordance with the parameters laid down by our country’s Constitution in accordance with the rule of the land.
In pre-modern Western culture, some organic concepts of the cosmos, which evolved in the cultures of ancient Greece and Rome, existed in an implied form. The term is a deliberate oxymoron, a rhetorical mixture of two antonyms, “unity, oneness” units and “variety, variousness” types. Countries worldwide have never been monolithic institutions and have embraced migration, which has played a very important role in their development. In addition to operating within a country, private companies have become multinational corporations. With offices in many nations, the workforce is diverse, and they cooperate with each other to achieve shared goals.
We all know that our country (name of country) is the largest and most populous country in the world where Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, Sikhism, Jainism, Christianity, and Parsees live together, but everyone believes in one theory of Dharma and Karma. People here are afraid of God in nature and believe in soul purification, regeneration, and resurrection, heaven’s luxury, and hell’s punishments. People here celebrate their festivals very peacefully, without hurting other religious people (Eid, Holi, Diwali, Christmas, Good Friday, Mahavir Jayanti, Buddha Jayanti, etc.).
Unity in diversity is accountable within a defined time period for improving the efficiency of the teamwork and completion of the projects. This is because of the growth of trust and bonding among individuals. As such, teamwork and collaboration are becoming very successful. Consequently, the pace of completion of projects is growing considerably. Unity of our nation’s idea of diversity offers people a positive message that nothing is without unity. It offers the true meaning of life to live together in love and harmony.
We should all remember our duty and strive to maintain its unique purpose at any expense. The true success and the way to advance in the present and future is harmony in diversity here. ‘Unity in diversity’ is also used to promote federalism and multiculturalism when used in a political sense. Above all, the idea helps people of diverse religions, races, castes, to live peacefully together. Certainly, the belief that Harmony in Diversity decreases the chances of protests and disruptions.
In the end, I just conclude, “Unity in diversity” really teaches us that while we are from different castes, religions, or races, these differences do not hold us apart, and we are all united to improve our country. It is the most unusual phenomenon demonstrated by our country.
