The vital aim of this article is to discuss about mushroom cordyceps. Cordyceps is a genus of ascomycete fungi that includes about four hundred species. All Cordyceps species are endoparasitoids, parasitic chiefly on insects and other arthropods a few are parasitic on other fungi. Until newly, the best recognized species of the genus was Cordyceps sinensis.
