Information about Acne

Acne medically recognized as Acne vulgaris, is a skin illness that involves the oil glands at the base of hair follicles. It usually happens during puberty when the sebaceous glands come to life. The glands are stimulated by male hormones produced by the adrenal glands of both males and females. Acne is a long term skin condition characterized by areas of blackheads, whiteheads, pimples, greasy skin, and possibly scarring.
