Geastrum quadrifidum, typically referred to as the rayed earthstar or perhaps four-footed earthstar, is an inedible types of mushroom on the genus Geastrum, or perhaps earthstar fungi. The fungus is a saprobe, feeding off decomposing organic matter contained in the soil and litter of coniferous woods.
