Financial Market is often used to refer just to the markets that are used to raise finance: for long term finance, the Capital markets; for short term finance, the Money markets. It is a broad term describing any marketplace where trading of securities including equities, bonds, currencies and derivatives occurs. It also be divided into primary markets and secondary markets. Financial market prices may not indicate the true intrinsic value of a stock due to macroeconomic forces like taxes.
