False statement is a statement which is not true. Although the saying fallacy is sometimes used like a synonym for untrue statement, that is not how the word is employed in philosophy, math concepts, logic and nearly all formal contexts. A false statement is a statement that is untrue and not necessarily told for you to mislead, as a statement given by someone who won’t know it is usually untrue.
