Evolutionary computation is a sub field of artificial intelligence that can be defined by the type of algorithms it is concerned with. These algorithms, called evolutionary algorithms, provide adopting Darwinian principles, consequently the name. Evolutionary computation uses iterative progress, for example growth or development in the population.
