Conceptual Metaphor is a psychological theory, which was developed by researchers within the field of cognitive linguists. It is defined as understanding one conceptual domain in terms of another conceptual domain. Conceptual metaphors are natural and inevitable. This theory was not intended to account for language in use, which is merely the surface manifestation of more important phenomena. It is typically employ a more abstract concept as target and a more concrete or physical concept as their source.
