Cavendish Experiment used a torsion balance device to attract lead balls together, measuring the torque on a wire and equating it to the gravitational force between the balls. It use to measure G is the Cavendish experiment, named after Henry Cavendish. His experiment gave the first accurate values for these geophysical constants. Cavendish Experiment is a difficult delicate experiment because the gravitational constant has such a small value that the gravitational forces between the masses used in the experiment is very small.
