Basic purpose of this lecture is to present on Catchall Kingdom: Algae. Algae is an informal term for a large, diverse group of photosynthetic organisms which are not necessarily closely related and are thus polyphyletic. This lecture briefly present on structure of Algae: Thallus or body; Unicellular or multicellular; Colonial: Volvoz; Filamentous: Spirogyra; Multicellular: Ulva; Asexual and sexual reproduction. Finally briefly present on Algae Phylums: Phylum Chlorophyta, Phylum Phaeophyta, Phylum Rhodophyta, Phylum Bacillariophyta, Phylum Dinoflagellata, Phylum Chrysophyta and Phyla Euglenohyta.
