Prime objective of this lecture is to present Carbon Group. The carbon group is a periodic table group consisting of carbon (C), silicon (Si), germanium (Ge), tin (Sn), lead (Pb), and flerovium (Fl). Carbon also is found in all living things. Carbon is followed by the metalloid silicon, an abundant element contained in sand. Sand contains ground up particles of minerals such as quartz, which is composed of silicon and oxygen.
