Bio-regionalism is a political, cultural, and ecological system or number of views based upon naturally defined parts called bioregions. Bioregions are defined through physical and environmental capabilities, including watershed limitations and soil along with terrain characteristics. Bio-regionalism stresses how the determination of a bioregion can also be a cultural occurrence, and emphasizes regional populations, knowledge, along with solutions.
