It is a broadly described annual report of Titas Gas Transmission & Distribution Company Limited in the year of 2014. At present, the authorized and the paid-up capital of the company is Tk. 2,000.00 and Tk. 989.22 Crore respectively. During FY 2013-14, a total of 14,732.08 MMCM of gas was sold and sales revenue of Tk. 7,695.50 Crore was earned and the total revenue was Tk. 7,773.28 Crore with meter rent & surcharge. Compared to previous year’s revenue of Tk. 7,462.55 Crore, the growth rate in revenue income for the year under review was 4.16%. The Company has earned a net profit before tax and net profit after tax of Tk. 1,379.84 Crore & Tk. 1026.89 Crore respectively during 2012-13 FY. The Company’s net profit before tax and net profit after tax were Tk. 1226.54 Crore & Tk. 909.64 Crore respectively during 2012-13 FY. During the financial year under review, earning per share (EPS) is Tk. 10.38 which was Tk. 9.20 in the year 2012-13.
The Board of Directors of the Company has recommended @38% Cash Dividend for the year ended 2014. These financial statements are presented in Bangladesh Taka (Taka/Tk/BDT) which is the company’s functional currency. All financial information presented in Taka has been rounded off to the nearest Taka.
