It is a broadly described annual report of GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) Bangladesh Limited in the year of 2014. During the year 2014 GlaxoSmithKline Bangladesh Limited contributed to the government exchequer a sum of Tk. 2,356 million, which is a 21% increase over the previous year (2013: Tk. 1,950 million). For the year 2014, The Turnover of the Company was Tk. 7,187 million, 6% higher than last year. The operating profit (after tax) was at Tk. 826 million (51% increase over last year). Net Sales of the Company was Tk 7,187mn, against Tk 6,774mn of last year. As a result EPS (Earnings per Share) has increased to Tk. 68.63 from Tk. 45.35 in 2013.
The Board of Directors recommended a final dividend of 420% i.e. Tk. 42 per share of Tk. 10.00 each for the year 2014. These financial statements are presented in Bangladesh Taka (Taka/Tk/BDT) which is the company’s functional currency. All financial information presented in Taka has been rounded off to the nearest Taka.
