It is a broadly described annual report of Titas Gas Transmission & Distribution Company Limited in the year of 2011. At present, the authorized and the paid-up capital of the company is Taka. 2,000.00 and Taka. 942.12 Crore respectively. During The FY 2010-11, a total of 14,992.50 MMCM of gas was sold and sales revenue of Tk. 6,781.37 Crore was earned. Compared to previous year’s revenue of Tk. 6,379.49 Crore, the growth rate in sales revenue for the year under review was 6.30%. The company has earned a profit of Tk. 97.41 (EPS) against each share of Tk. 100, which was Tk. 85.62 during the previous year. That means in a year each share got a 13.77% growth. The company has earned a pre-tax profit of Tk. 1,233.14 Crore during FY 2010-11 which was Tk. 986.01 Crore during FY 2009- 10. The Company’s net profit after tax during FY 2010-11 was Tk. 917.75 Crore. In the year 2009-10, the net profit after tax of the company was Tk. 733.31 Crore.
The Board of Directors of the Company has recommended @30% Cash Dividend for the year ended 2011. These financial statements are presented in Bangladesh Taka (Taka/Tk/BDT) which is the company’s functional currency. All financial information presented in Taka has been rounded off to the nearest Taka.
