It is a broadly described annual report of Uttara Finance and Investments Limited in the year of 2011. In the year 2011, the company paid Direct Tax Tk. 115.77 million, Source Tax Tk. 67.11 million and VAT Tk. 2.18 million which were Tk. 132.47 million, Tk. 27.60 million and Tk. 2.06 million respectively in the year 2010. Total business contracts processed in 2011 increased to Tk. 760.67 Crore as against Tk. 600.11 Crore in 2010. The growth is 26.76%. Despite severe liquidity crisis in the monetary market total disbursement had been made in 2011 of Tk. 684.74 Crore which was 5.67% higher than the disbursement target of Tk. 648.00 Crore and also 40.02% higher than the achievement of 2010 of Tk. 489.02 Crore. In the year 2011 Uttara Finance achieved operational revenue growth 16.01 percent. During the year 2011, the company received total Taka. 3,510.22 million as deposit and the cumulative balance of deposit as on December 31, 2011, is Taka. 4,307.16 million.
The Board of Directors in its 97th meeting proposed @40% stock dividend and if shareholders in 17th Annual General Meeting approved the same the paid-up capital of Uttara Finance and Investments Limited to be reached at Tk. 1,034.88 million before June 30, 2012. These financial statements are presented in Bangladesh Taka (Taka/Tk/BDT) which is the company’s functional currency. All financial information presented in Taka has been rounded off to the nearest Taka.
