It is a broadly described annual report of Bangladesh Lamps Limited in the year of 2010. During the year under review, the net sale of the Company was Taka. 622.57 million as compared to Taka. 615.33 million in 2009. VAT and Supplementary Duty on Taka. 69,639,780 of these sales were paid dose to the date. The net profit after tax for the year 2010 was Taka.61.75 million. The total number of shareholders of the Company at 31st December 2010 was 2,820 as against 2,940 in the previous year. The price index of shares on that date stood at Taka. 2,613,50 per share at the Dhaka Stock Exchange and Taka. 2,850,00 per share at the Chittagong Stock Exchange.
The Board of Directors Is pleased to recommend cash dividend of Tk. 35/- per share of Tk.100/- each (i.e. 35%) for the year 2010. These financial statements are presented In Bangladesh Taka (Taka/Tk) unless otherwise stated, which is the company’s functional currency.
