It is a broadly described annual report of Andhra Bank in the year of 2010-2011. During the financial year, The Bank’s Total Business increased by 22.44% to reach Rs. 1,64,310 Crore as on 31st March 2011 from Rs. 1,34,194 Crore as on 31st March 2010. Deposits increased by 18.62% and stood at Rs. 92,156 Crore against Rs. 77,688 Crore in the previous year. Operating profit increased from Rs. 1,810 Crore as on 31.03.2010 to Rs. 2,413 Crore as on 31.03.2011. Net Profit earned was Rs. 1,267 Crore, as at the end of March 2011 compared to Rs. 1,046 Crore as at the end of March 2010. Earnings per Share increased to Rs. 26.05 from Rs. 21.56, while Book Value per Share increased from Rs. 90.93 to Rs. 116.02.
The Board of Director’s of the bank has recommended a dividend of @ 55% for the year 2010-2011.
