It is a broadly described annual report of Indian Overseas Bank in the year of 2008-2009. During the financial year, The Bank’s total income increased to Rs. 11,237 Crore in 2008-09 compared to Rs. 8,776 Crore in 2007-08, with a growth of 28.04%. The Bank’s operating profit recorded significant growth of 26.07% to reach Rs. 2,524 Crore compared to Rs. 2,002 Crore in 2007-08. Net profit of the Bank increased to Rs. 1,326 Crore in 2008-09 compared to Rs. 1,202 Crore in 2007-08. Growth in net profit was at 10.32%.
The Board of Directors of the bank has recommended a dividend for the year 2008-09 is being proposed at @45% as against @35% paid last year.
