Annual Report 2007-2008 of Gammon India Limited

It is a broadly described annual report of Gammon India Limited in the year of 2007-2008. During the financial year, Total assets of the Company stood at Rs. 3,306.41 Crores. The Company achieved a Turnover of Rs. 2,340.84 Crores during the year ended 31^st March 2008 as compared to a Turnover of Rs. 1,844.84 Crores for the previous year ended 31^st March 2007 thereby registering an increase of 26.89% on annualized basis. Profit before tax for the year ended 31^st March 2008 stood at Rs. 139.34 Crores as against Rs. 143.06 Crores in the previous year. The Net Profit of the Company after tax increased from Rs. 44.48 Crores in the previous year to Rs. 86.13 Crores during the year under review. For the year under review, the basic earnings per share were Rs. 8.22.

The Board of Directors of the Company has not recommended a final dividend of @25% (Rs. 0.50 per share of Rs. 2/- each) for the year 2008. The total dividend for the year under review works out to Rs. 4.34 Crores. Dividend Distribution Tax aggregates to Rs. 0.74 Crores.
