Urban decay is the process whereby any previously functioning town, or part of a city, falls directly into disrepair and decrepitude. Perhaps it will feature deindustrialization, depopulation or changing population, restructuring, left behind buildings, high nearby unemployment, fragmented families, political disenfranchisement, transgression, and a desolate, inhospitable city surroundings.
