A toothcomb is usually a dental structure present in some mammals, comprising a band of front teeth arranged in a fashion that facilitates grooming, much like a hair clean. The toothcomb takes place in lemuriform primates, treeshrews, colugos, hyraxes, and many African antelopes. The structures developed independently in various kinds of mammals through convergent development and vary the two in dental arrangement and structure.
