The holiday season of freebies on the Epic Games Store has come to an end. Thus, the weekly freebies on the Epic Games Store have returned. You can download Dishonored: Definitive Edition, which includes Arkane’s first-person stealth playground and all of its expansions, for free right now and through January 5th.
Before 4 pm GMT on January 5th, go to the Dishonored: Definitive Edition store page to permanently add the game to your account. The Dunwall City Trials, The Knife Of Dunwall, The Brigmore Witches, and Void Walker’s Arsenal are part of the DLC package.
I figure I’ve said enough good things about Dishonored at this point. In this urban fantasy shoe, which takes inspiration from The Thief, you must avenge the recently dead queen and clear your name by teleporting past guards, controlling rats, and throwing the bodies of anybody you choose to kill into the trash. It served as a cornerstone for the second iteration of the immersive simulation.
Dishonored’s DLC, much of which places you in the stealthy shoes of the assassin Daud, would have been more reasonably overlooked. At the time, we really enjoyed Brigmore Witches and Knife Of Dunwall, which Jim referred to as “more fascinating slices of Dunwall than much of the original game” in his Brigmore Witches review.
Of course, it’s possible that after playing all of the aforementioned games, you haven’t yet played Dishonored 2. (hi). If you have Amazon Prime, you’re also in luck because GOG.com is presently offering Dishonored 2 for free. It is absurd how many fantastic games are available for free today.
