Tampering can refer to numerous forms of sabotage but the term is frequently used to mean intentional modification of products in a method that would make them injurious to the consumer. This threat has prompted manufacturers to make products that are either tricky to vary or at least tricky to vary without warning the consumer that the product has been tampered with.
