Students And Politics

Introduction: Politics is a science which deals with the promotion of the general welfare of the state and its people. Like any other science, it has its rules and laws which when put to work produce specific effects. Many debates about the participation of students in politics but the truth is, there is nothing wrong in students understanding the laws that govern the prosperity of their country.

Politics does not limit to those in power in the government. It is also about the ones who are in the run to achieve the same power. The candidates of the opposition party question the party on power during political debates. They intend to inform people and make them aware of their agenda and what the present government is doing. All this is done with the help of politics only.

The historical backdrop of political theory is old. It began in Greece in antiquated occasions when Greece was a modest community in the state. Furthermore, presently it is regularly said that the word legislative issues or political theory is gotten from the Greek word ‘polis’. The subject which is today called a political opinion or governmental issues was called ‘legislative issues’ in antiquated occasions. The word administrative issues are gotten from the Greek word (polis).

Politics and Students: The word politics has acquired a reputation for being associated with all things negative. It does not help to see our members of parliament hurling abuses at one another on prime television. Where is dignity? Where is the respect for the constitution?

Actually, Politics is a system. Governmental issues are known as a total framework, whose essential goals are open intrigue and whose achievement relies upon the prosperity of the individuals. In administrative matters, the open choose a hireling, a worker who is known as a pioneer. They know about each issue of the individuals. As such, there ought to be no mystery among him and the individuals. Straightforwardness is an essential piece of this framework.

Politics is generally equated with agitation-constitutional or unconstitutional. This takes on bigger proportions when all kinds of media are used to propagate it. The escalating drama then rears its ugly head in the form of Bands, stone-throwing, and unrestricted violence. The result is almost always loss of life and loss of property. Now, this is the kind of politics that students should have no part of.

Constitutional agitation requires knowledge, acquaintance with the forms of government in the country, and an understanding of the socio-economic dynamics of the country. It calls for educating the masses to understand their needs. It calls for pressing on those in power, the need for reform in an educated and nonviolent way.

Students have no place getting involved in constitutional agitation either. This requires knowledge of the constitution, the conditions of life something the student is yet to experience, and an understanding of the demerits of existing forms. The mind of the student is not sufficiently developed to undertake all this work. Besides youth is the age of enthusiasm. It is the time to learn, the time to soak in experiences, the time to gather information. Without experience or knowledge, the youth will end only propagating the views of others. It is important that he must develop his own opinion based on the facts available.

Youth is a stage in man’s development where the mind is inexperienced hence prone to brash outrage. There is enthusiasm, yes, but it needs to be channeled in the right way for it to one day turn into wisdom so that it can serve both him and his nation.

However, students can prepare for their sojourn in politics. They must use the time they have at this point of their life when they are not hampered by family responsibilities to study and gain information. Political science should put before the children facts about the principles and history of government as per their capacity to understand.

College students should be allowed to attend political meetings so that they gain hands-on knowledge of the goings-on at these meetings. They should, however, not be allowed to participate. It is the time to assimilate knowledge, harness it so that one can use it when one has the wisdom to do so. College might be treated as mock parliament and the students might be allowed to assail roles in this mock parliament.

World Politics: The connective association with the name of world governmental issues is the name of the adversary of the control in the problems of political and financial investigations of the world and culture. The current differentiated procedure of political globalization poses the inquiries of social power at the focal point of the area.

There seems to be control of relations between towns, state-countries, state, global partnerships, non-administrative associations, and universal associations. Current conversation areas incorporate guidelines of national and ethnic debates, legislative issues of majority rules system and national self-assurance, globalization and vote based system, similar governmental issues and harmony, near legal matters, political economy, and relations with the global world of politics.

Dirty Politics: Dirty politics refers to the kind of politics in which moves are made for the personal interest of a person or party. It ignores the overall development of a nation and hurts the essence of the country. If we look at it closely, there are various constituents of dirty politics. The ministers of various political parties, in order to defame the opposition, spread fake news, and give provocative speeches against them. This hampers with the harmony of the country and also degrades the essence of politics. They pass sexist remarks and instill hate in the hearts of people to watch their party win with a majority of seats.

Furthermore, the majority of politicians are corrupt. They abuse their power to advance their personal interests rather than that of the country. We see the news flooded with articles like ministers and their families involving in scams and illegal practices. The power they have makes them feel invincible which is why they get away with any crime. Before coming into power, the government makes numerous promises to the public. They influence and manipulate them into thinking all their promises will be fulfilled. However, as soon as they gain power, they turn their back on the public. They work for their selfish motives and keep fooling people in every election. Out of all this, only the common suffers at the hands of lying and corrupt politicians.

Conclusion: However, Students will learn how to put their point across, they will learn to accept criticism, and more importantly, they will understand that there might be different ways of doing the same thing. They will gain perspective and valuable experience which will allow them to make educated choices when they finally decide to step into the world of politics. We need to save our country from corrupt and uneducated politicians who are no less than parasites eating away the development growth of the country and its resources. All of us must unite to break the wheel and work for the prosperous future of our country.
