Basic purpose of this lecture is to present on Spiders and Insects. Spiders have two body parts, the head and the abdomen. Spiders do not have antennae. Spiders are not Insects, although they are small, spiders are not insects. We use different names for spiders and insects because it’s useful to have names that tell how living things are related to one another. Both spiders and insects are called arthropods. That’s the group of animals that have the skeleton on the outside of the body, with the body and legs divided into segments. Most insects fly, and spiders can’t. Insects; there are many different kinds of insects.
