Radio frequency (RF): some of the electromagnetic wave frequencies that lie from the range extending by around 3 kHz to 300 GHz, including those frequencies for communications or radar signals. RF usually describes electrical rather compared to mechanical oscillations. On the other hand, mechanical RF systems do exist. Examples include: Radio-frequency identification and ISO/IEC 14443-2 Radio frequency power and signal interface.
