Primary purpose of this lecture is to present on Properties of Sun. Here briefly summarize the overall properties of the Sun; Where does the light we see come from; Solar activity and magnetic fields. Everything in the solar system reflects light. Everything also absorbs light and heats up producing blackbody radiation. The solar mass is equivalent to 330,000 earth masses, or 2 × 10 30 kg, for a mean or average density (mass/volume) of 1.4 g/cm3.
