Musk and Grimes Had a Secret Second Baby with an Aptly Nerdy Name

Grimes and Elon Musk have brought their second kid to the world, and the baby has been named Exa Dark Siderl Musk, which is a delightfully nerdy name. The newborn girl’s birth was just disclosed in a Vanity Fair interview with Grimes. The Canadian musician was talking about her new song during the interview when the writer heard a kid wailing upstairs. “Do you have another infant in your life, Grimes?” the interviewer said.

“I’m not at liberty to talk about these things,” she said at first when asked about the youngster. She subsequently stated, however, that she and Musk had just had a second child through surrogacy. In May 2020, Musk and Grimes welcomed their first child, X A-12, also known as “X.” Exa Dark Siderl Musk is the full name of their second child, who is known as “Y.”

Exa is a reference to the supercomputing phrase exaFLOPS, which denotes the capacity to do one quintillion floating-point operations per second, according to Grimes. Dark appears to be an allusion to the unknown and “beautiful mystery” of dark matter; Grimes has already produced a song called My Name Is Dark.

Siderl is meant to be “a more elven” spelling of sidereal, an astronomical timekeeping method used to find celestial objects, and a nod to Galadriel, her favorite Lord of the Rings heroine. “Thank you very much,” Grimes tweeted in response to the piece. Thank you, Vanity Fair, for including me on the cover!!!” “2 clear a few things; I did this to speak about my job, not’reveal all,” she said. Contrary to the title, I definitely held back a lot. & I didn’t intend for them to learn about my kid, so please respect her privacy; I’d like her to be able to live a life as quiet as possible.”

“Me and E [Elon] have split up *again* after I wrote this piece lol,” she said, “but he’s my closest friend and the love of my life, and my life and art are now permanently committed to The Mission.” The “Mission,” according to Grimes, is focused on “sustainable energy and multi-planetary species.” “The maintenance of awareness.” Grimes casually discusses her ambitions to live and die on Mars during this crazy journey of an interview. That’s probably what you’ll get if you get into an on-again, off-again romance with Elon Musk.
