Mechanical resonance is the tendency of any mechanical system in order to respond at greater amplitude if your frequency of their oscillations matches this system’s natural frequency of vibration than it will at other frequencies. It may cause violent swaying motions and in many cases catastrophic failure with improperly constructed structures including bridges, buildings and airplanes—a phenomenon known as resonance disaster.
