Prime purpose of this lecture is to present on Light: Geometric Optics. Light travels in straight lines under a wide variety of circumstances. Light travels in straight line paths called RAYS. The ray in geometric optics is an abstraction, or instrument, useful in approximating the paths along which light propagates in certain classes of circumstances.
