General objective o this lecture is to present on Landslide Scale and Effects. A landslide is a downward movement of rock and soil debris that has become detached from the underlying slope. In recent years, growing population and expansion of settlements and life-lines over hazardous areas have largely increased the impact of natural disasters both in industrialized and developing countries. This lecture explain some possible causes of landslides these can either be geological, morphological or human-induced.
