The term workstation is used about a complicated stand alone computer particularly designed for high presentation levels in positive tasks similar to imaging, graphics or computer-aided design. These high end computers are usually equipped with extra features such as a faster processor, high resolution monitor, advanced graphics card, greater memory, and built in networking support, that places them at an unclear borderline among high grade PCs and minicomputers.
