According to the World Health Organization, one half to two-thirds of the global population lacks access to radiological services due primarily to shortages in diagnostic equipment and trained personnel. Global radiology comprises the study and practice of improving access to radiology resources in poor and developing countries, and addressing global health inequities through the application of radiology.
