Gliese 317 b is an M-type star-orbiting gas giant exoplanet. It is an extrasolar planet located in the constellation Pyxis about 50 light-years away. It has a mass of 2.5 Jupiters, takes 1.9 years to complete one orbit around its star, and is 1.151 AU away from it. The planet has a mass of about 381.5 Earth masses, or 1.2 Jupiter masses, and orbits its star at a distance of about 0.95 astronomical units. The orbital period is approximately 1.9 years, with a slow orbital velocity of 14.82 km/s.
