Principle objective of this lecture is to present on General Rules of Tense. This is a tutorial study based presentation. General Rules of Tense; base form + -ed for regular verbs; example; I worked yesterday. The simple past for irregular verbs varies: He ate lunch at noon. (irregular verb). Verbs come in three tenses: past, present, future. The past is used to describe things that have already happened (e.g. earlier in the day, yesterday, last week, three years ago). The present tense is used to describe things that are happening right now, or things that are continuous.
