Following a Significant in-Game Event, Star Citizen Becomes Free to Play

Star Citizen has been under development for more than ten years, yet it still doesn’t have a set release date. The alpha version has proven to be enjoyable for the majority of players despite having its fair share of controversies. Seasonal upgrades and other occasions keep the experience interesting and facilitate the onboarding of new users.

In celebration of the annual Intergalactic Aerospace Expo (IAE), the game is now offering a variety of bonuses to all players. Star Citizen appears to be completely free to play, allowing both new and experienced gamers to play without having to invest any money.

However, it’s only available until November 30th, so take advantage of the opportunity while you can. The expo offers a lot more that can be enjoyed and used to try out what upcoming updates might have to offer.

  • New and experienced gamers alike can play Star Citizen for free.
  • The bonus is provided as a result of the ongoing Intergalactic Aerospace Expo event in the game, which offers a number of benefits like access to spacecraft.
  • The game will remain free to play until the end of this month, after which it will revert to its prior pricing.
  • Players can access the digital event and stroll through the extensive, eye-catching halls to view more than 100 flying ships.

Although there are over 100 ships to operate, they are only being used for testing and are not the final product. “In-game vehicles marked as “concept” are provided as a limited vehicle concept pledge,” the disclaimer states. This indicates that while being in development, the vehicle is not yet ready for usage in Star Citizen and won’t be playable until a later release.

Additionally, a ship can be pledged to receive a loaner car: “If you pledge towards a vehicle in the concept stage of development, you will receive access to a loaner car for use in Star Citizen until the concept vehicle is featured as playable in the game.”

Players can “explore the digital event as they would any convention, from strolling through fully interactive expo halls and seeing the latest ships on display each day in incredible detail, to meeting up with friends to explore and partake in exciting activities, or chance encounters with strangers that launch new friendships,” according to the free-to-play event.

The developer of Cloud Imperium Games added, “Get ready for the biggest, best Whitley’s Guide IAE Special you’ve ever seen!” to his remarks about the occasion.

The developer goes on to say, “It will feature brand-new cars, exclusive looks, a special appearance by Drake CEO Anden Arden, and much more. We won’t exclude anything again this year. Don’t pass it up!

Drake Interplanetary is supporting the aerospace show for the first time. In other words, the space corporation will premiere its own ships, starting with the Drake Corsair.

The Drake Corsair is a beast of a ship that, among other things, can fly anywhere thanks to its enormous fuel tanks, four-person crew support, and powerful weaponry. The spacecraft will be able to travel to the farthest reaches of the cosmos while protecting its occupants.
