Financial economics is the branch of economics seen as a a “concentration with monetary activities”, in which “money of just one type or another will probably appear on both sides of any trade”. Its concern is thus the particular interrelation of monetary variables, such since prices, interest prices and shares, instead of those concerning the genuine economy. It has two main aspects of focus on asset pricing and corporate and business finance.
