Emotional Detachment

Emotional Detachment

Emotional detachment can mean two different issues. In the primary meaning, it is the term for an inability to touch base with others when using emotional level, or a means of dealing with anxiety by preventing certain situations that will trigger it; choosing described as “emotional numbing” or maybe dissociation. Emotional detachment inside the first sense above often comes from psychological trauma and it is a component in many anxiety and tension disorders.
