Noise can be defined as an unwanted or undesired sound. The term noise pollution is used to define unwanted sounds that are released into the environment. Noise is an undesirable and unwanted sound. All sound is not noise. Today sound pollution is a common affair in our country. It has reached an unbearable. It causes a number of negative effects both on health and the effectiveness of performing actions. This pollution is normally caused by human activity. Now that noise is a pollutant, it affects certain things and certain spheres in life.
The unnecessary use of powerful vehicular horns is the main source of sound pollution in the city. In most cases, the source of the most noise outside is due to transportation systems, machines, aircraft, motor vehicles, and trains. Besides, faulty vehicles, construction sites, loudspeaker and thousands of workshops are responsible for sound pollution. To understand the reasons behind these health conditions, people should consider the effects that are usually caused by noise pollution. This problem should be taken seriously because it can cause permanent hearing loss. However, noise that tends to disrupt the natural rhythm of life makes for one solid pollutant.
In the city, millions of people are exposed to sound pollution. Deafness, temporary or permanent, is one of the most prevalent effects of this problem. This sound pollution will damage people’s power of hearing. It can cause many fatal diseases such as heart attack, high blood pressure, etc. The first and foremost effect of noise is a decrease in efficiency in working. Too much of noise disturbs the rhythms of working, thereby affecting the concentration required for doing work. Physical damage to the ear and the temporary hearing loss often called a temporary threshold shift (TTS). It normally creates uncomfortable scenarios and irritation as well. We should take the necessary measures to control sound pollution. By developing public awareness and careful town planning can be controlled. Strict law should be enforced.
