EcoHealth is an emerging field of study researching how changes in the earth’s ecosystems affect human health. EcoHealth examines changes in the biological, physical, sociable and economic surroundings and relates most of these changes to individual health. Common examples include increases in asthma rates caused by air pollution as well as habitat fragmentation resulting in increasing rates regarding Lyme disease.
