Depth Psychology

This article focus on Depth Psychology, which refers to approaches to therapy that are open to the exploration of the subtle, unconscious, and transpersonal aspects of human experience. It is an interdisciplinary endeavor, drawing on literature, philosophy, mythology, the arts, and critical studies. This term was rapidly accepted in the year of its proposal (1914) by Sigmund Freud, to cover a topographical view of the mind in terms of different psychic systems. This effort can be achieved through the therapeutic relationship, dream interpretation, active imagination, and work with expressive therapies.
