Major purpose of this lecture is to present on Computer Output Device: Visual Display Unit. A monitor is a peripheral device which displays computer output on a screen. Screen output is referred to as soft copy. For example, a flat panel display and a projector are both examples of VDUs. Here also focus on ; types of monitors: Cathode-ray tube (CRT) and Liquid Crystal Display (LCD or flat-panel).
