A communist revolution is a proletarian revolution usually, but not necessarily inspired with the ideas of Marxism that aims to change capitalism with communism, typically with socialism as a possible intermediate stage. The idea that a proletarian revolution should be applied is a foundation of Marxism; Marxists believe the workers of the world must unite as well as free themselves through capitalist oppression to manufacture a world run by and with the working class.
