Qualified General Accountant is a professional designation granted to Canadian accountants. Someone who meets the education, experience and examination requirements on the Certified General Accountants regarding Canada is permitted use the expert designation and increase the letters “CGA” to their title. A CGA is jointly part of CGA-Canada and a provincial or territorial CGA association or CGA association overseas. A Certified General Accountant must have postgraduate degree. Students generally require three years of supervised work experience, but in all formats they need a minimum of two years.
