Carbohydrates

Carbohydrates are called easy or difficult, depending on their chemical structure. Easy carbohydrates comprise sugars found logically in foods such as fruits, vegetables, milk, and milk products. They also comprise sugars added during food processing and refining. Compound carbohydrates comprise whole grain breads and cereals, starchy vegetables and legumes. Numerous of the complex carbohydrates are good sources of fiber.
