Bangladesh – a Country of Natural Beauties

Bangladesh is a darling child of nature. It is very rich in flowers, vegetation, and green fields. The hill tracts of Chittagong. Waterfall and forests have made our land wonderful. The blue sky, the green fields, the yellow corns have an unending fascination for all.  Again the Padma, the Meghna, the Brahmaputra, the Shitalakha, the Teesta, Karnaphully, the Jamuna, and many other rivers have made our plain land marvelous. Our land is so outstanding that many poets have composed poems about its beauties and charms. Seeing the uncommon beauty of Bangladesh Jibananda Das, our Bengali poet exclaims with ecstatic joy, “I have seen the beauties of Bangladesh. So I no longer want to seek the beauty of the world.”

Favorable climate works behind the beauty of Bangladesh. The beauties of Bangladesh have been praised greatly by the travelers. The south-west seasonal sind created from the Bay of Bengal in June blows over Bangladesh and being hindered in the east-north hilly region it causes rainfall. Then the nature of Bangladesh assumes a new beauty getting the touch of the rainy season. The canals and the rivers are filled to the brim. The arrangement for growing crops from field to field goes on. Swans in groups swim in merriment. Flowers like lotus, Shapla bloom and make our land beautiful. The scorching heat of the summer is felt less to some extent when the rains set in. The green plains and meadows, the rivers, the clear blue sky, the scenes of hills and mountains have made this country unequal in the world in natural beauty.

The beauty of nature changes with the change of season. Six seasons appear here with their special appeal. After the rainy season autumn sets in. The plants and creepers of forest in the moonlit night of autumn, home, and hearth, flowing current of rivers attract us newly. Flowers of various kinds bloom. At the end of autumn, the touch of winter is felt, to some extent. Then late autumn sets in. Fields are filled in golden paddy. People harvest their crops and carry them to their cottages. Then winter sets in. There is a severe scarcity of rainfall in winter. Severe cold is felt and green nature becomes dull. After that, spring sets in. New leaves sprout up in plants and creepers. Flowers of various colors bloom. It appears nature gets back her youth in new beauty. We have some places with uncommon scenic beauty which always attracts tourists. Cox’s Bazar, Kaptai, Sylhet, Hill tracts, and the Sunderbans among others are blessed with most enchanting natural beauty.

Bangladesh is a land of villages. It seems every village is a wonderful stage of nature. Open green fields, plants and creepers bearing in flowers and fruits, forests adorned with creepers, fields enriched with green crops everything makes our land naturally very wonderful.

Each of her natural regions such as Rangamati, Kaptai, Sylhet, Moinamati, Sundarbans, etc are blessed with the most enchanting natural beauty. The hill tracts of Rangamati, Kagrachari, and Bandarban with evergreen tropical forests present a nice view. There are many waterfalls in Bangladesh. The waterfalls of Jaflong, Madhabkundu in Maulvi Bazar, and Suvalong in the district of Rangamati present an unforgettable scene. The scenery of these places is so charming and attractive that there is always a rush of tourism and visitors in these places from home and aboard throughout the year.

In fine, we can say that Bangladesh is a land of a variety of seasons. While enjoying the scenic beauties of these places, the tourists forget the wearies and troubles of life for the time being.  The games of six seasons are played here. She assumes new beauty in every season. In fact, no country like Bangladesh enriched with natural beauty is found in the world. All these make the land a romantic rendezvous for the tourists. Whoever sets foot on this land can never forget its beauty. I am proud and happy to have been born in such a beautiful dream land.
