Aquaculture, also often known as aquafarming, is the producing of aquatic organisms like fish, crustaceans, molluscs and aquatic plants. Aquaculture involves cultivating freshwater and salt water populations underneath controlled conditions, which enables it to be contrasted together with commercial fishing, that is the harvesting involving wild fish.
