It is a broadly described annual report of Shasha Denims Limited in the year of 2017. During this financial year, The Company earned total gross revenue of BDT. 4,333 million as export income in 2016-2017, against BDT. 4,111million in 2015-2016. Revenue decreased 1.77% during the year compared to last year. Total assets of the Company stands at BDT. 7,112 million as on June 30, 2017, from BDT. 6,615 million as on June 30, 2016, showing growth 15%. Cost of Production of the Company registered at BDT. 3,499 million in 2016-2017 as against BDT. 3,607 million in 2015-2016. Net profit before tax decreased to BDT525.61 million in 2016-2017 from BDT577.91 million in 2015- 2016. Profit after tax stood at BDT 459.37 million in 2016-2017 which was BDT 482.71. Earnings per share recorded at 4.07 during the financial year 2016-2017 which was 4.28 in the last year.
The Board has recommended @31% Dividend in which 25% cash dividend and 6% stock dividend inclusive of 12.50% Interim Cash Dividend for the year 2016-2017. These financial statements are presented in Bangladesh Taka (Taka/Tk/BDT) which is the company’s functional currency. All financial information presented in Taka has been rounded off to the nearest Taka.
