It is a broadly described annual report of Asia Insurance Limited in the year of 2015. During the financial year, a record 12.80% increase in gross premium which now amounts to BDT. 453.64 million. A record Net Premium earning of BDT 308.16 million which is 27.24% higher than that of last year. Fixed Deposit increase by 5.52% from BDT. 608.17 to 641.73 million. Underwriting Profit stood at BDT 42.13 million in place of loss of BDT. 32.10 million in 2014. Net profit before tax increased by 25.93% despite the decrease of Interest & others income by 38.71%. An increase in Earnings per Share (EPS) by 10.91%. An increase of total Asset by 4.92% from BDT. 1462.44 to 1534.38 million.
The Board of Directors in its 112th meeting held on 27th April 2015 decided to recommend payment of 10% Cash dividend for the year 2015. These financial statements are presented in Bangladesh Taka (Taka/Tk/BDT) which is the company’s functional currency. All financial information presented in Taka has been rounded off to the nearest Taka.
